Ingolf has worked since he was 11 years old. Today he is 74.
Apprentice baker, farmer, ship's boy, lorry driver, concrete worker, butcher, gardener, forester, road pavers, and water works manager.
The firewood pile is filled up so they are ready to face the winter at home on the farm.
Ingolf's farm is located in the same village as he grew up, just one kilometer from his childhood home. Since 1983, he has had the small farm alongside his work.
At home in the utility room, Ingolf's wife is ready to help him get rid of his clothes.
Ingolf is allowed to keep on his dirty work clothes during the daily break. His wife has placed a white sheet in the armchair so it doesn't get dirty.
”Without the moustache, my mouth looks like the ass of a chicken.”
For more than 50 years the food has been served for Ingolf. A few years ago, when his wife got sick with cancer, he suddenly had to learn how to use the stove. Today she is again in charge of the food.
